I Eat To Live, I Don’t Live To Eat.

TTV - Sleeve gastrectomy - 1
Sleeve gastrectomy surgery to lose weight.

First things first my peeps! Today is Saturday July 7, 2018 and it marks my 19th sober day and as always, I feel like Tony the tiger… GRRRRREAT! I just hope that wherever you are in this crazy planet of ours, you are having a good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night. Always try to enjoy it to the fullest and don’t let nobody fuck it up for you no matter what happens.

On a weight loss / weight gain note! Around three years ago my highest weight was 250 Lbs, so I had what they call the Sleeve gastrectomy surgery to lose weight. You see, I had the surgery not because I wanted to look sexier than what I looked back then, Bwahahahahaha!, but because I was having health problems like type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, lower back pain and knee and ankle pain. Plus I was taking multiple medications and my GP had also just put me on insulin. The thing is, that since my stomach is smaller now, I eat less food. Since I eat less, I don’t get to enjoy it as much as I did before the surgery. To be honest with you, after the surgery I lost around 60 Lbs. But in the last year or so, I have gain around 40 Lbs back. My wife says that my weight gain is due to my weekend beer drinking, but I say that it is a combination of eating when and what I’m not supposed to and my weekend beer drinking. I guess that what I am trying to say is, that you need to make sure that you are on board with the many restrictions that come with weight loss surgery, before you do it. I don’t regret doing it, I just don’t like the idea, that my relationship with food has changed, because now I eat to live, I don’t live to eat.

With that said! I am Audi 5000 y’all!
