The Dreaded Jury Duty

First things first my peeps! Today is Monday July 23, 2018 and it marks my 35th sober day and as always, I feel like Tony the fucking tiger… GRRRRREAT! I just hope that wherever you are in this crazy planet of ours, you are having a good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night. Always try to enjoy it to the fullest and don’t let nobody fuck it up for you no matter what happens.

On a jury duty note! A couple of weeks ago, I received the dreaded jury duty summons in the mail. When I became an American citizen back in the 90’s, just like any other American, what I hated the most was being called for jury duty. After a couple of years, I started to understand, that there are a lot of reasons why I should be grateful to this country. You see, even though I was born in the Dominican Republic, I have been living in The United States of America, since the age of three, that is forty-five years out of the forty-eight that I have been alive. To be honest with you, I know more about American history, than I know about Dominican history. I can travel the entire United Sates without getting lost, being afraid or feeling nervous. Now that’s not what I can say about my country of birth due to the high crime. By experience, I know that jury duty is not easy. But what people born here don’t understand is, that by doing jury duty, I feel closer to this great country, that have given me so much opportunities… in other words, I feel more American.

With that said! I am Audi 5000 y’all!
