What up! What up! What up kids! Today is Sunday August 26, 2018 and it means that I have been sober for two months and seven days or rather yet, sixty-eight days i total. As always, I feel like Tony the fucking tiger… GRRRRREAT!

OK, so yesterday my wife and I spent the entire afternoon at a co-worker’s home in New Jersey, with his family, friends and also other co-workers. Just in case my loyal readers are asking… yes, there was a lot of drinking happening, they even offered me alcohol many times, but since I’m a good boy, I said no thank you, I am driving. My wife did have a Margarita and two Jello shots, which made her feel really good. Since I’m the one with the drinking problem, I was OK with her drinking. When we go out, I even try to encourage her to drink, since she’s not the one with the problem. Plus right now, I have been doing excellent around people who are drinking. I’m not going to lie, I had a few stinking thinking moments, but I really don’t miss drinking that much. As for today, my wife’s uncle is having a BBQ in the park across the street for his youngest son… YES! YES! YES!, you can bet your ass that there will be alcohol, but you can also bet your ass, that I won’t be drinking, just eating my favorite, BBQ meats.

As for my loyal five to ten readers, I just hope that wherever you are in this crazy planet of ours, you are having a good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night. Always try to enjoy it to the fullest and don’t let nothing or nobody fuck it up for you no matter what happens.

The Change Of Plan

What up! What up! What up y’all! Today is Monday August 6, 2018 and it means that I have been sober for one month and nineteen days or rather yet, forty-nine days. As always, I feel like Tony the fucking tiger… GRRRRREAT! No anxiety, no depression, no hangover, no regrets… I mean nothing! I just hope that wherever you are in this crazy planet of ours, you are having a good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night. Always try to enjoy it to the fullest and don’t let nobody fuck it up for you no matter what happens.

On a change of plan note! Even though I traveled to Pennsylvania with my wife on Saturday and I thought that I was just going to be chilling like a villain at home on Sunday, my wife had different plans for me. You see, the one thing that I have been saying for years is, that married men shouldn’t make plans. In my case, I’ve known my wife for thirty years. During those years, one of thing that I have learned about her is, that she can make plans today, but then the next day, she can just change everything completely around with no warning whatsoever. Yesterday I had to drive her to The Home Depot in The Bronx and then down to a metroPCS store in Harlem. I really can’t complain, because after more than fifteen years without eating food from Burger King, we did get to enjoy a double quarter pound king with french fries and a soda. Don’t get me wrong, I really love to spend time with my better half, but the way that I look at it is, that if I go out on Saturday, then Sunday is what I like to call “my lazy day”. Keep in mind, that my wife knows how to drive and has her license. I think It’s just that she likes me being her personal weekend chauffeur.

First things first my peeps! Today is Sunday August 5, 2018 and it means that I have been sober for one month and eighteen days or rather yet, forty-eight days.

On a sober fun note! I have to say, that yesterday my wife and I had an amazing time with my co-workers and their families. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, my wife and I traveled to one of my co-worker’s home located in AllentownPennsylvania. We spent the entire afternoon just talking, laughing, eating and drinking… yes, drinking. But don’t worry, I didn’t have any alcohol. As a matter of fact, I’m still getting used to having some sober fun, while others drink in front of me. To be honest with you, it is getting better and easier. I’ve been able to hangout with people who are drinking and I’m not feeling any urges to drink or even feeling angry, because I can’t drink. It’s like the longer I’m sober, the less that I think about alcohol. Plus it really helps, that I’m taking one day every weekend, to spend it outside of the apartment. I guess that what I am trying to say is, that the more I stay home doing nothing, the more time I have to think about alcohol. Which is not a good thing. Another co-worker of mine at the get together, invited all of us to his home in New Jersey on August twenty-fifth. So my wife and I are setting that day aside for more fun.

My Saturday Travel Plan

TTV - Allentown PA - 1

First things first y’all! Today is Saturday August 4, 2018 and it means that I have been sober for one month and seventeen days or rather yet, forty-seven days.

On a weekend travel note! One of my co-workers invited a couple of us from work to her home in the town of Allentown, Pennsylvania for a get together today, so I will be attending with my better half. The funny thing is, that just last weekend I was in the same town at a junk yard, getting parts for my car. I knew that she had bought a house a couple of years back, but I wasn’t aware that it was located in the same town that I was in last Saturday… I have to say, life is fucking crazy! I know for a fact, that it will be a two-hour drive each way… depending on the traffic, but that’s no biggie. As long as I get out of the apartment at least one day every weekend, as I planned before… and as long as the weather permits it of course, I’m down with that. The one thing that you can be sure about is, that there will be some drinking going on. But I won’t be part of it though. I’m staying sober no matter what! Plus the more time that passes by, the less I miss alcohol.

What up! What up! What up my peeps! Today is Monday July 9, 2018 and it marks my 21st sober day and as always, I feel like Tony the fucking tiger… GRRRRREAT!

On a day trip note! Since I decided to try to visit a new place every Sunday, yesterday I decided to visit The New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn, New York. I’ve been wanting to visit for so fucking long, that I can’t remember how long has it been. Well, to be honest with you, I really enjoyed it to the fullest. As soon as I saw the old train cars, I felt like a little kid in a toy store. It was incredible how I was able to sit in train cars, dating back to a hundred years or more. I have to say, that I took close to three hundred pictures, but only posted 100+. The most amazing thing was, that the train ride took me one hour each way, plus the whole thing only came up to fifteen dollars and fifty cents for the admission to the museum and my train ride both ways. As to where will I be next Sunday? At a co-worker’s wedding.

First things first my peeps! Today is Sunday July 8, 2018 and it marks my 20th sober day and as always, I feel like Tony the tiger… GRRRRREAT! I just hope that wherever you are in this crazy planet of ours, you are having a good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night. Always try to enjoy it to the fullest and don’t let nobody fuck it up for you no matter what happens.

On a family get together note! Yesterday I drove to Perth Amboy, New Jersey with my wife, daughter and mother in law, for a family BBQ, welcoming my wife’s aunt’s husband to the U.S. for the first time. I did enjoyed it after a while, but I have to admit, that at first, I was in a really shitty mood, because I had people drinking alcohol all around me and I couldn’t drink. But then I realize, that since I’m early in my sobriety, it will be better for me to stay away from people and places. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t even planing on drinking, even after I was offered beer and hard liquor many times, I wasn’t even close to touching the thing. I guess I can say, that I learned a hard lesson early in my sobriety… to keep away from them drinking mother fuckers! Something good did come out of the trip, because I got to eat a lot and I talked with people who I haven’t seen in a while. So it wasn’t a waste of time after all.

Tony At! The Dyckman Farmhouse Museum In Manhattan

First things first my peeps! Today is Monday July 2, 2018 and it marks my 14th sober day and as always, I feel like Tony the tiger… GRRRRREAT! I just hope that wherever you are in this crazy planet of ours, you are having a good morning, good afternoon, good evening or good night. Always try to enjoy it to the fullest and don’t let nobody fuck it up for you no matter what happens.

On a traveling note! Since I’m trying to stay sober and I know that in order to do that, I have to keep my mind busy, so I decided to name my weekend travel with a similar name of one my favorite Sunday morning TV show “Toni On! New York”, so I named them “Tony At!.” I decided that since my wife and kids don’t enjoy the same things that I do, I will try to visit a different place every weekend on my own… just like my shrink suggested a while back. On my first Sunday, I decided to visit The Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, all that I had to do was take a taxi there, since it is near my home, then the train back home. Since admission to the museum is donation based, I made a ten dollars donation to the farmhouse. The Dutch Colonial style farmhouse was built on this site by c. 1784 and opened as a museum in 1916. To be honest with you, I really enjoyed it and it was like taking a trip back in time. From now on, I will try my best to get out of the apartment more often. I really will.
